This presentation is designed to give therapists, coaches, practitioners, educators, parents, and adult human beings a unique and highly-important frame for understanding neurodiversity and neurodivergence from the most “zoomed out” of levels.

This presentation has been adapted from a presentation given at Meta/Facebook in August of 2023.

Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence 101

Biodiversity is incredible relational intelligence at living work, creating reciprocal balance and harmony, over and over and over again.

Natural variations (at scale) in ecosystems, genus, species, individuals, behaviors… it’s all intelligence. (We’re obviously very much influenced by and influencing this process!)

An exploration of neurodiversity = an exploration of inclusion, and nuance. Intersectionality. Practical non-dualism.

Sameness and difference are each true for us humans, and variations in difference and human diversity are both seen and unseen.

Those unseen differences live at the very edges of our current collective understanding.
